An ice cream spoon that embodies the Japanese pursuit of virtue
This ice cream spoon, designed by Hisakazu Shimizu of "S&O DESIGN," not only offers a sense of irony in contrast to disposable wooden and plastic spoons, but also embodies the Japanese pursuit of virtue. Its luxurious finish (24-karat gold plating) is pure gold-plated. The carefully polished spoon has a smooth texture. Unlike wooden spoons, it has just the right weight, allowing the ice cream to quickly cool down, resulting in an exquisite texture. In addition to ice cream, it can also be used as a butter knife or jam spoon. Each spoon is carefully polished by artisans in Tsubame-Sanjo, Niigata Prefecture.
