A plain piece from the Art Deco period
Upsala Ekeby, along with Gustavsberg, was a leader in Swedish artistic ceramics. This plate was designed by Harald Östergren, who became design director in 1923 and produced a variety of ceramics until the 1940s. It was designed in the 1930s, during the Art Deco period, when the era was strongly influenced by the period. The plate has a texture that strongly evokes the earthiness of faience ware, which was popular in Europe at the time, and a smooth, rimless finish with a glaze texture. This beautiful plate also exudes a touch of Bauhaus spirit.| Product name |
